With Vladimir Luxuria at the European Parliament, the exhibition ‘L’isola degli Arrusi’ on the internment of homosexuals

Mario Furore promoted the photographic exhibition “L’isola degli Arrusi. Il confino degli omosessuali nelle Isole Tremiti” at the European Parliament in Brussels, curated by photographer Luana Rigolli, with the participation of Vladimir Luxuria. The exhibition documents the fascist-era internment of men persecuted solely because of their sexual orientation, one of the darkest chapters in Italian and European history.
“This story must be told so that such discrimination never happens again,” said the M5S MEP, reaffirming the importance of historical memory and the protection of civil rights.
