About me
My name is Mario Furore and I was born in Foggia, in the beautiful region of Puglia, in 1988.
In 2012, my search for political and social change led me to become an activist in the Five Star Movement. In 2014, I obtained a degree in Law at LUISS University in Rome.
After years of active engagement and a constant presence on the ground, in May 2019 I ran for office and was elected Member of the European Parliament for the Southern Italy constituency (Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Puglia, Basilicata and Calabria). In 2024, I was re-elected with 38,237 preference votes.
During my years of activism, both online and locally, I have gained a great deal from the Movement. Numerous projects, ideas and shared solutions emerged from this experience. Through this collective and participatory path, I have developed my own vision of community and active political engagement.
I am currently a Member of the CULT and JURI Committees of the European Parliament, a member of the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly, and a substitute member of the Delegation to the EU–Chile Joint Parliamentary Committee.
Nel 2015 ho avuto l’onere e l’onore di essere scelto quale collaboratore di Rosa Barone nel Consiglio Regionale Pugliese, esperienza umana e lavorativa tra le più importanti della mia vita nella quale ho imparato a confrontarmi con i mezzi della macchina burocratica regionale e dove ho capito la potenzialità di poter attuare un nuovo modo di fare politica all’interno delle istituzioni, restando fedele alle idee del M5S e restando coerente coi miei valori. Sempre.
Attualmente, svolgendo il mio ruolo di Portavoce al Parlamento europeo, mi occupo principalmente di Turismo e Trasporti rivolgendo sempre un occhio di riguardo al mondo delle Imprese in questi settori, al fine di creare un collegamento tra i nostri territori del Sud e l’Europa.
